Prayers Answered

Studying: Isaiah 37-39
Memorizing: Romans 1:32, 2:1-2
Thoughts: Good

We've been praying for a new apartment lately. Since we've moved to Saint Petersburg we've become more accustomed to the city and to getting around, therefore we don't really need to live in the center of town anymore. We also would like to upgrade to a little bit bigger place. While we've been making it okay here sleeping in the same room with Isaiah, we really think it's time he had his own room. We looked into a number of places over the past few weeks, and all of them were excruciatingly too expensive. But then something happened last night.

We're part of an online message board called "SPB News." It's mainly for expats living in Saint Petersburg. To get on the board, one must be approved by the moderator. If anyone wants to make an announcement they simply send an email to the group, and everyone gets it. People use it all of the time to sell items, ask questions, recommend things, etc. Last night around 9:45 a message came across for a three room apartment near a different metro station. I called, asked the price and it was right. The lady told me to call back this morning to setup a time to see the place.

At 1PM we went to go see the apartment. It takes almost a full hour to get there from our current location, but it's an easy ride. Well, let me just say the Lord worked out everything perfectly. The place is more than we could ask for and the rent is excellent! We have a verbal agreement with the lady that we will take the apartment. We will be signing paperwork soon. If all goes well we will move in around the first of June.

We are reminded of the Lord's faithfulness. We were beginning to get discouraged about finding a new place, and suddenly, "out of the blue" this place literally falls into our laps.

Oh, a couple of other things too. The next door neighbor is a doctor who speaks English. The currently landlady said he would be very happy to help if there was ever a need. There are great stores nearby, plenty of parks and less noise and traffic. Please continue to pray that this will all come together.

We're so thankful and pleased about the apt. I assume it will be closer to Cristy's language teacher. One more room will make you feel like you've got lots of room !! The Lord is so good.
love mama and daddy
