Studying: Mark 4-5
Thoughts: Good

As He was getting into the boat, the man who had been demon-possessed was imploring Him that he might accompany Him. And he did not let him, but He said to him, 'Go home to your people and report to them what great things the Lord has done for you, and how He had mercy on you.' And he went away and began to proclaim in Decapolis what great things Jesus had done for him; and everyone was amazed." Mark 5:18-20

Christ commanded this man to go and he went. He went because of his love for Christ. He had been shown mercy by the Savior and wanted to be with him, therefore he tried to get in the boat and go with Jesus. But Jesus had other plans for this man. He wanted him to go and tell others two basic things - what God had done for him and that God had been merciful to him. When Christ tells the man not to come but to go out and tell others, he doesn't put up a fight, nor does he argue. He had a longing to obey Christ and therefore he goes and tells others about him. He wanted to tell others what great things God had done for him and what great mercy he had been shown. Should I not do the same?
